Know Your Rights.

These are tenuous times in the United States. We are at war. The memory of 9/11 lingers. And, our government’s response to these tensions has challenged many of our precepts regarding liberty and freedom.

It is appropriate at any time to remind ourselves of the liberties we cherish and extol. But, this point in history demands it. “Know Your Rights” is a series of 20, two-minute radio programs presented by WMPG-FM and featuring Maine Civil Liberties Union Staff Attorney Zachary Heiden. “Know Your Rights,” explores our right to freedom of speech and religion, our right to privacy, reproductive rights, due process, and the challenges facing these and other rights and airs on WMPG-FM, Greater Portland Community Radio. “Know Your Rights” focuses on Maine in an effort to bring the issues directly home.
