The Legislature needs to hear from us!
Join members of the MCLU at a Statehouse Day of Action on Tuesday, February 9th from 9am – noon.
MCLU issue experts will brief you on two of our priority bills; a bill to limit the use of solitary confinement in Maine prisons and another bill to ban the use of surveillance cameras in South Portland. We will be giving some tips on communicating effectively with our elected officials and we will provide the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with our legislators.

This event will only be successful if we have a substantial number of civil liberties-minded Mainers at the State House. That is why we are hosting a phone bank at the MCLU on Thursday, January 28th and Wednesday February 3rd from 5:30-7:30 to turn out our members for the statehouse day of action!
